| It is official.... August 20th-25th has been the fastest week of my life.
From packing, working at PTS and trying to hang out with my friends as much as I can, time is just flying by.
Only 2 more days, but I think they will be great ones.
| I cannot begin to express how blessed I am to have the friends that I do. They never cease to astound me. God is definitely proving his love to me through them. While I will deeply miss them over this next year, it is such a relief to know that they will be praying for us because I feel like they are on a whole different relational level with God. A level at which I hope to be at one day.
Thank you friends. | | |
| I ran into my friend Logan Sunday morning at College Hills... We started talking about where life was taking us and so on. I began to wonder... Remember those times when you were younger and you thought that those college kids were so cool. College graduation was like reaching the summit. It was something you were in awe of. Now you have reached past the point in your life. If your like me your day consisted of searching for the best insurance policy, get screwed over by your employer (tomorrow is not my last day after all...), working and then coming home to find nothing in the fridge. You are penciling in wedding showers and due dates for your friends. When your friends get together you now talk about good recipes, vaccum cleaners and job pay. What happened to that glorious time you envisioned as a kid? What happened to transition periods because I feel like I was thrown in with the lions?!!?
In saying all that, I lead a charmed life. Tomorrow morning I will wake up and work on my scrapbook with my cousin Katie, I will work and the probably go to Starbucks with my cousin Sara. Tonight I got to spend a few with Amanda and Beth. I am leaving next Friday for my great adventure and until then I am busy spending time with people I love. I have no real worries because God is in control. Faith provides me a charmed life. :)
| You know those times when things seem completely out of control and you find yourself wondering what the heck is going on around you??? Then something happens of which you are reminded that you are really not the one in control and life is not about your timing... Everything is in God's hands. He has the control and we are on his time plan. I got myself a much needed reminder tonight and it was pretty flippin' sweet.
I am not one who necessarily believes the God has to prove himself through signs, but I knew God was with me tonight. A friend prayed over me, let me cry for awhile, told me to buck up and let God and then let me fall asleep for a short time. I saw my first shooting star too! God used my friend to let me know that He is still by my side.
